Additional Features for Dynamic Air Shelters
From military operations to oil & gas projects to natural disaster zones, every situation is unique. Dynamic Air Shelters are highly versatile and available with customizable features so they can fit in wherever the need for protective shelter exists.
Lighting
Long Tube Enhanced Work Lights
These rugged, portable, high-output, high-efficiency fluorescent work lights come standard with Dynamic Air Shelters. With a light output of 8,200 lumen, they are ideal anywhere good work lighting is needed to ensure safety and quality workmanship. The tough aluminum frame and polycarbonate shell are virtually indestructible. The switch is waterproof and the lamp inside is cushioned with shock-absorbing holders.
General Purpose Fluorescent Lights
These lights are recommended when there are no specific standards for lumens; they have a light output of 1780 lumens. The lights are rugged, portable, high-efficiency fluorescent work lights. The tough aluminum frame and polycarbonate shell are virtually indestructible. The switch is waterproof and the lamp inside is cushioned with shock-absorbing holders.
Lightning Protection System
Our lightning protection system includes the required number of lightning rods for full shelter coverage. Rods attach to a grounding cable. Lightning protection cables are secured with high-strength clips to a fabric patch. A lightning protection system is recommended in military, hazardous and extreme weather zones.
Tether Masts
The flexible tether masts provide enhanced blast resistance, a smaller shelter footprint, and better column restraint.
Blast Resistant Sidewalls
The blast-resistant sidewall is used for ballasting on tether masts and as “fragwalls” in high-blast threat situations. It provides ballistic protection, enhanced blast mitigation, as well as stabilization of the ballast for structures without secure ground fixture.
Blast-resistant sidewalls can be configured to meet a range of performance specifications. The standard design has a tapered side profile with a nominal 600mm base, 300mm width at the top, and height of 2400mm. It is intended to be filled with local soil, gravel or crushed stone.
Door Systems
Doors of various sizes may be installed for construction/fabrication applications. Dynamic Air Shelters door options include:
Man Doors
These framed man doors are light and strong, and secure at a high blast threshold with fail-safe features for emergency situations.
- Single Door – Rigid, framed and blast-resistant mounted to ground independent of shelter. Panic hardware included. 36” Opening
- Double Door – Rigid, framed and blast-resistant mounted to ground independent of shelter. Panic hardware included. 72” Opening
- Double Door for Side Exit – Rigid, framed and blast-resistant mounted to ground independent of shelter. Panic hardware included. Vestibule included to support a stubby column. Standard door on models 120’ or longer. 72” Opening
Roll-Up Forklift Doors

The floor of your air shelter can be a concrete pad or any existing surface, or choose from our flooring options.
Vinyl Flooring
Manufactured by Dynamic Air Shelters, this non-skid, heavy vinyl flooring has a rough surface for slip prevention. It is suitable for any shelter to eliminate tripping hazards including industrial shelters and field hospitals.
Marine Grade Stage Flooring
Composed of 4×4 all-wood marine grade panels, this flooring has a non-skid coating, and is of a blast resistant design and configuration. It is robust, portable and rapidly configurable elevated stage flooring recommended for industrial use. The floor’s stick-built continuous membrane construction and independent levelling feet allow installation over uneven terrain.
